Alex is proving that he can beat the odds! First morning after surgery he moved left upper arm and hand. He has a sensation in the upper part of the chest. Mom, Andrea, Vanja, Matea, Ivan and Kristina are with him. Zoran is calling from Colorado sharing the good news ...we are all crying!!!!

There is also a sensation in the upper right arm. From the level of the nipples down he can't feel a thing, but there is a positive reflex in one leg. Again tears of joy and hope on both continents!!!

They moved Alex from ICU to normal floor. He was laying in his bad with legs aside and during his physiotherapist’s morning check up; he moved his right knee 2 inches from the left!!! I know this doesn't seem to be much in sense of walking, but this is a huge bust for his state of mind and confidence. So, for now, we have sensations in left arm and hand, upper right arm and right knee!
Vanja sent me some pictures from today’s visit! Alex is so motivated and Andrea’s presence is helping a lot. He promised her to be on his feet for their wedding in 2014 and this is now his goal! Vanja is shaving his head today (Ivan already did it) to support Alex (they shaved his head in hospital) and keep him in the good spirit!

He did it again! Alex moved his knees again, for the short time, but with his own will. Doctors are surprised, but without much optimism and diagnosis remain the same: tetraplegia. We are all hoping that this is not the end of miracles to come, Alex is a fighter and stubbornness is his forte. Alex will not give up!

Alex is moving both arms and hands, but right arm is much weeker then the left. He can extend his right leg and even flex a foot a little(!!!) Comparing to first day prognosis even doctors said he is a little miracle!
